What is ThetaHealing?

I’ve been asked this question so many times

after twenty years as a practitioner and twelve years as an instructor

I decided I needed to come up with a better answer than I’ve been able to thus far.

It’s not easy to describe

The old official definition was:

“ThetaHealing is a meditation training technique utilizing a spiritual philosophy for improvement and evolution of mind, body and spirit.”

The new official definition is;

“ThetaHealing is a meditation technique and spiritual philosophy that uses focused thought and prayer. We believe our training method offers physical, emotional and spiritual healing by tapping into the Theta brain wave and connecting with the Creator Of All That Is. When we experience this connection, we can reprogram our minds to clear limiting beliefs and think positively. This brings out the best in ourselves and allows us to live our most enlightened, successful lives.”

But for me that doesn’t really tell me what it does

and it certainly doesn’t explain the amazing results people have had from using it.

I searched for years to find the answers as to why I wasn’t happy.

*My relationship with my mother was strained,

*I had been sent to boarding school when I was seven, three months after migrating from England to Australia,

*when I was seventeen I fell pregnant and was sent off to an unmarried mothers’ home and expected to put my baby up for adoption (I revoked my consent three days before the time expired)

*my father was killed by a drunk driver while they were on holidays in the UK

I was looking for ways to heal these four events in my life that were causing me such pain.

In my search I studied many different modalities, even studied psychology at uni, saw psychologists, counsellors and even two visits to a psychiatrist, I eventually studied a Diploma of Holistic Counselling.

Nothing gave me the answers I was looking for.

Nothing took away the pain.

Until I was drawn to do the three day Basic ThetaHealing course.

And in those three days I got the answers I was looking for.

It was everything I had learnt before all encapsulated into those three days.

Finally I had tools and techniques to heal my past, ways to take the emotions off those events in my life.

I learnt how to remove beliefs / programs that were hiding in my subconscious causing my pain.

I learnt how to harness my intuition and my other psychic senses.

I learnt how to connect and speak with my guides and angels.

I learnt how to connect with the Creator Of All That Is

and so much more . . .

I no longer needed someone else to ‘fix’ me,

I could do it myself

and I began to realise that I wasn’t weird

I learnt to trust my gut and the stuff I had been picking up for years

I took my power back

after years of giving it away bit by bit in order to keep my safe.

My relationships improved

My self esteem improved

My confidence improved

and best of all I learnt to love myself!

I believe this course is something everyone needs to do

it enables them to take back their power and realise that it was there all along!

Imagine if our kids had these tools

This is THE best course I have ever done … and I’ve done heaps!

It’s like no other course,

you don’t sit there writing copious notes

you’re not learning something new

you’re being reminded of what you already know!

If you are going to do one self development course in your life then this is the one to do!

So my short snappy explanation is:

ThetaHealing is magic! It will remind you of all you have forgotten. Once you learn how to have that strong connection to the Creator you can achieve whatever your heart desires.

Self-Responsibility

We hear that word bandied around but what does it actually mean? It means taking ownership of your decisions, your words, your actions, and all the consequences that come as a result. It means acknowledging the role you play in both the successes and failures

The importance of loving yourself

“The fundamental problem that most patients face is the inability to love themselves.” Bernie Siegel MD

I remember reading his book Love, Medicine and Miracles back at the end of the ’80’s and it resonated so deeply with me, something shifted inside.

Women of my generation have been taught to be perfectionists

We were taught that we need to be all things to all people

We were taught that to do something for ourselves,

to think of ourself was selfish … the very worst sin you could commit it seemed

Then you had people screaming that women can have it all

You could have children, be a mother AND have a high powered job

You could do anything and everything a man could do

What happened as a result of those high expectations was a generation of women who exhausted their bodies and their spirits trying to pack in all that they thought they were supposed to do

Be the 1950’s housewife with the perfect home & perfectly behaved children
and at the same time compete with men in the corporate world.

What an unsustainable, insurmountable goal that was!

In order to attempt to juggle all those balls in the air women had to sublimate their own needs to the needs of others.

When that happens our emotions have to shout louder and louder in order to get out attention

and because there is no time or space to focus on ourselves, plus we’ve been taught that to do so is wrong
thoughts and emotions get pushed further and further down
and that’s when the physical symptoms begin

[I read that martyrs experience chronic resentment – that was so me when my children were younger!]

When you look at this very simplified explanation you can see the problems this created,

both in my generation and the generations to follow.

Each generation tries to rebalance the wrongs they felt the previous generation inflicted upon them

I see the same things manifesting in my clients,
each generation having their own set of issues
and most of them say they feel stuck.

At the crux of all of it is the need
to be seen and heard, to be validated and acknowledged

and how quick the turnaround and change begins when that happens!

Focusing on yourself is not selfish,
experiencing pleasure is not selfish,
they are both crucial for vibrant health!
