2020 is here! A new year, a new decade

A new year, a new decade!

What is this going to mean for you?

Are you just going to carry on doing what you’ve been doing for the last 10 years or are you going to make a decision to grab this new decade with both hands and make your dreams come true?

The decision is yours.

As the saying by Benjamin Franklin confirms, ‘if you fail to plan you are planning to fail.’

What if it’s true, and you have manifested the way the world has treated you up until now?

If you keep doing what you’ve been doing then you’re going to keep getting what you’ve been getting.

There’s another saying which no one can agree who said it, ‘insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.’

But how often have you done that and been gobsmacked when the same result occurred?

Nothing is going to change unless we make it.

I’m having another birthday soon and as the numbers climb, I can see that the sand is pouring faster through that hourglass.

If I want to achieve things then I need to make a start and do them now!

What is it I really want?

That is the hardest question of all.

We all know what we don’t want, we could fill pages of long lists.

Every time I ask clients, students and workshop participants they just look at me baffled, because they don’t really know. No one has ever asked them.

Most of my clients are women and because of the way they were brought up to put the needs of others before themselves.

Time has moved on and things have changed, society has changed,  so our conscious mind is saying it’s OK to spend this money and this time on myself because when I take time out for me then I can go back into my life and have more energy in my relationships and my work.

But, those unconscious beliefs that were set down when we were children are still running the show.

We can confirm that when we realise how we are sabotaging ourselves from reaching our goals.

This has been coming up for me recently and I have felt as if I’m holding my breath, I’m stuck, I can’t move forward.

Fortunately, because of the tools and techniques, I have learned

I’ve been able to discover this, then I’ve been able to go in and remove those beliefs that are holding me back and change them!

The question is: if you could have whatever you wanted, what would it be?

What is your soul purpose?

What are you here on this planet to achieve?

It’s a very interesting and worthwhile exercise to do.

Maiya 🙂

Our body is always talking to us?

Sadly, most of us don’t listen.   Or we only listen when we are brought to our knees.   I admit that even though I have known this for a long time and have been teaching it for the past twenty years I don’t always

Gratitude is an Attitude

A funny story from a long time ago …

When I first heard about gratitude, years and years ago, I thought

that if I was grateful for what I had in that moment that meant I would be stuck there and never have anything better!

And because that was my belief at the time I didn’t carry out the act of gratitude for many many years.

Definitely not a smart move

I was living in Sydney at the time and wanted desperately to move out of the rat race to somewhere quieter that would feed my soul.

Twenty years ago next month the dream I had held onto for so long came to fruition

and we moved to Kiama, the best decision we ever made!

Before that eventuated I had to sit in the situation I was in at the time and have gratitude for all that I had in my life then and there

I had let go of the belief I’d had such a tight grip on that to be grateful in the moment meant I would be stuck there

So not true!

In fact it was the reverse

Once you begin to have gratitude for what you have in your life then more things start to flow to you

The most important thing is to know what it is you wish to manifest in your life

Most people when asked what they want in their life come up blank

We all have a great long list of all the things we don’t want and nothing on the ‘do want’ list

So what happens is we are focused on the ‘don’t want’ and surprise, surprise that’s what keeps on showing up!!

The lesson here is to have gratitude for everything you have in your life now (just look around you) and focus on what you do want in your life.

Gratitude is a powerful manifestation tool.

TIP: if you have a list of what you don’t want it is easy to flip it to what you do want

I love Christmas!

I’m not embarrassed to admit it. I love the feeling of Christmas … the decorations, the trees all dressed in their finery, the shops all fitted out for the season, the movies, the songs (I have them playing while I write this), I even collect
